Hit the nail on the head. It was in vain that they made it possible to now deal damage with a hidden blade, and not just defend themselves (as was the case in part 1), because of this, fights began to turn into ugliness.

So if the skirts are left as they were? I mean, I bought a huge hammer, a crossbow, a sword, a dagger, and the whole game you run around killing everyone with your blade. Then who is more comfortable playing with which weapon?. I always ran with a blade and didn’t worry. But if certain opponents require their own method of killing and their own weapon, then that would be cool.

The fact of the matter is that almost the entire game of AC II could be played with a hidden blade. It was monotonous and boring.
And even though new killing techniques and new weapons were introduced, it became much easier to kill; the excitement of going through the difficulty of fighting with a crowd disappeared, as was the case in the first part. Everything converged on the slaughter of helpless dummies.
